Scotty worked tirelessly to arrange for the parents to be released from care so they could come to be with the child they lost.
There was a tragic loss of a pediatric patient while Scotty was the in charge. The parents were involved in the same accident as the child and were transported to another hospital. Scotty worked tirelessly to arrange for the parents to be released from care so they could come to be with the child they lost. Scotty not only provided care to the child, but he also provided support to the parents and the staff involved in the resuscitative measures. He was the first person there for those who were struggling, and his compassion and genuine kindness did not go unnoticed.
Being a shift leader is difficult because you have to advocate for the patients, support their families, and also be there for your staff. Scotty exceeds expectations and goes out of his way to be sure anyone who is in the department is cared for. I am truly so fortunate to work for someone like him.
