Ellie was the MGMC nurse on duty when D's heart went into atrial fibrillation. His heart rate was in the 190s, and his blood pressure was dropping fast. Ellie realized the urgency of the situation. She lined up all the professional staff and crash cart to stabilize the heart. Ellie informed the team (ten people in the room!) of D's history, meds, and status. She stayed composed, was key to the team's success, and kept us informed throughout. After D's heart stabilized, Ellie continued to take excellent care of D.
