During this time that my mother was at Grandview, it became evident that she would not be able to survive her cardiac and other issues. She was moved to SICU and Lauren was our nurse essentially all day and night. Lauren was a bright ray of sunlight in what was otherwise a very depressing and incredibly difficult time. Lauren was so caring and helpful throughout the process and supported me and my decision to move my mom into a "comfort care" mode at the appropriate time. She let me know that in her experience, I was doing the right thing. I cannot say enough how much Lauren's support and caring nature meant at that time. She continued to care for my mom in the most loving way and made me feel that my mom would not be in any more pain during the process. I never felt that I couldn't simply step out of the room and talk with Lauren about anything concerning my mother's care. Ultimately my mom advanced through the death process but because of Lauren and others who were with us, I felt peace and comfort to the very end.

Lauren is an Angel on this earth for so many. I wouldn't want to think of going through such a painful process without her loving care and concern. Grandview should be thankful to have her there and any patient under Lauren's care is blessed indeed.
