Not only does Jamie instill confidence and trust in your hospital, but her bedside manner alleviated all fear from my mother of 83 years.
I am a nurse of many decades, with a variety of roles, and retired from managing EDs for over 20 of those. I now teach and try to impress the next generation to be exactly as your RN Jamie is. She is an outstanding protocol for anyone who decides to do this work to help others. Not only does Jamie instill confidence and trust in your hospital, but her bedside manner alleviated all fear from my mother of 83 years.
Jamie went above and beyond following up with the surgeon who was difficult to catch and still made time to connect with my family, perform care with compassion, deliver a realistic optimism of my mom’s condition, and was an excellent educator varying the message with appropriate degrees of simplicity that correlated with our needs and understanding. She is the epitome of a bedside nurse and should be honored and appreciated by anyone aspiring to become a nurse and by your hospital admin for elevating the care experience to levels that are not common in today’s hospital environment. She is an asset to your facility and an outstanding human. Jamie is why we developed the DAISY Award!
