Roberto has a strong influence on empowering staff to see themselves as a leader from within.
Mr. Roberto has been an extraordinary manager, always looking for better places for patients and staff. Attentive to patient and staff concerns, very on course. A giving leader who always wants his staff to master what they do. He is a marvelous, exemplary leader.

Roberto is a great manager to Street 2. He does his best to make his floor (Street 2) an excellent place for nurses and PCTs to feel welcomed and motivated to work hard. He always wants us to move up and keep chasing after our dreams and not give up. He treats us all equally with respect, and his doors are always open whenever we have a question or need someone to talk to. He doesn't just think about himself. He focuses on all of us and his floor. He is a great man, and BayCare is honored to have a manager like him on Street 2.

Before Roberto came to Street 2, we maintained consistent core team leaders over the past several years and longer. We have always enjoyed working with each other, and each person brought their unique strength to the team. Roberto took time to get to know everybody and assessed each person's strengths. He recruited a few people to complement our team, filling in some challenges. Roberto has a vision for Street 2 that we will excel and effectively manage our patient experience. He is very goal-driven and good at explaining how to meet our goals. Roberto has demonstrated outstanding Leadership and how we can make an excellent Street 2.

On the get-go, Roberto expressed his vision for Street 2: to be the BEST unit for the patients and all the staff. He articulated his plan by emphasizing the value of doing the right thing by implementing BayCare policies and values. With the staff, he encourages them ALL by example to practice Life and Work balance. He demonstrates hard work and values time with family. He keeps an open-door policy. He makes himself available to the patients even after hours for emergencies and finds ways to lighten up the hectic day by personally offering snacks to the staff.

Mr. Bueno is an excellent candidate for the DAISY Award because he has solidified his position amongst his team members as a leader who is invested in the overall success of his team as a whole; aside from that, he has a strong influence on empowering staff to see themselves as a leader from within. His overall vision for his team and the organization will lead to great success. He is aware of the capabilities of his team and what it takes to get there.

Roberto consistently goes to his nurses and PCTs to encourage them to continue up the clinical ladder. He inspires his employees to take the necessary education to move up. He always shares the department's goals and encourages everyone to participate in the discussion on the leaderboards and on team calls. He has a section in a team meeting he calls "Good of the Order." He also goes to job fairs and schools to provide the concept of "Being BayCare."

Roberto is a fantastic manager, not just a manager but a friend and family member in Street 2. He motivates all of us to keep moving up and advises us to chase and work hard for our dreams. He continuously checks on the RNs and PCTs to ensure everyone is doing well, and he always shares the goals with everyone so we can reach the goals to become a great floor. He always listens to our ideas that can help our floor and is a huge team player. Whenever we have issues or something going on, his doors are always open to hear us out. He has all the qualities of a nurse manager: leadership, communication and collaboration, organization, clinical expertise, emotional intelligence, respect, compassion, and trust. He is the type of manager BayCare is lucky to have, and we can't wait to grow and learn together as a family, so I nominated Roberto because he deserves this reward for all his hard work and effort on this floor.

From day one of my interview, Roberto has been an extraordinary resource of help in my transition of moving from Puerto Rico to Florida. Once I arrived to work with him, he helped me as a leader, allowing me to work additional hours so I could successfully purchase my house. He has been an extraordinary leader.
