Joy has been very caring and empathetic during my stay.
Joy Ramsey was always smiling and cheerful – Many times, she came to my room to see if everything was ok or if I needed something – She walked me around the halls when she wasn’t doing anything – She made sure I walked a lot – I had intestine problems only – Thank God – No virus.

If I could only choose one word, it would be the most lovable RN around with knowledge and grace. It was my pleasure having Ms. Joy caring for me. Outstanding!!

Joy has been my nurse every morning shift since I was admitted here at Lehigh Valley Pocono. She has been very caring and empathetic during my stay. I have felt very comfortable holding conversations with her and relaxed knowing she is in charge of my care on the floor. She is an example of what a great nurse is.

My dad was in the hospital for over a day before being told he had pneumonia. Joy was absolutely great in educating him on the treatment she was giving him. She investigated why he wasn’t responding well to ambulating without oxygen despite never being on oxygen before. English is not my dad’s first language, and Joy took the time to make sure that he understood his plan of care. She reinforced teaching each time she entered his room.

Joy was my first nurse when I got admitted from the ER department to 4B. She made me instantly feel calm/taken care of. She assured me they would get to the bottom of my issues, and she was right. Every time I needed her, she was right there and had extensive knowledge of everything I had going on. Joy was one of the best nurses I’ve ever had at any hospital!

Assured both the patient and the family of their recovery. The patient was so compelled to give her a hug and immediately broke into tears. Exemplary bedside manner, assistance, guidance, patience, attentiveness, and care given with a fantastic sense of humor, vulnerability, and kindness. Thank you, Nurse Joy!
