On Monday, my wife and I were returning from an appointment when my wife started to have chest pain. St. Francis was the closest hospital, so we headed there immediately. AT 10 am, she was taken back to have an EKG and blood work and then returned to the waiting room to await results. A nurse walked by, and we asked her if she could help us; she was quick to accept our situation. She worked quickly to get us updates. With her help, the ER doctor came and told us the findings. The nurse went well beyond her job duties to get us timely information. She worked in a very professional manner; she took full control of all patients in the corridor that day. She had a focus on the patients and a beautiful personality that eased our pain during the wait. She was a godsend in our time of need, and she represented the hospital very well that day. Her attitude was professional, and she showed empathy for our situation. We want to recognize her.
