From the moment that Bryce came on shift, he was caring, thoughtful, and fully invested in my care. I woke up feeling OK, and when a member of the surgery team rounded, I thought I would be headed home. Bryce and his coworker came in a little later to administer meds and take vitals and I started feeling nauseous, warm, and flushed. I ended up having an emesis episode suddenly and did not have a bag. Both were wonderful in cleaning me up and getting me situated with a clean gown and blankets. Bryce's care did not stop there. Throughout the remainder of his shift, he checked on me consistently and researched which meds may have been causing nausea. When I called for more water, Bryce came in himself several times instead of the nursing assistants. He also brought me some essential oils to see if that helped. I felt cared for and valued by Bryce and never felt like I was just one of his patients. Bryce went above and beyond to care for me. I feel he is the definition of a DAISY Nurse.
