Dr. Karin Ludi helped open the UNM Health Sciences Rio Rancho extension campus in 2018, which admitted the 11th cohort this year. She is currently entering her 22nd year of nursing education. She has extensive experience working in the areas of maternal child health, pediatrics, and public health as it relates to school nursing. She holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Education from the University of New Mexico (UNM), and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from New Mexico Highlands University.
Dr. Ludi has shown extraordinary dedication and enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and nursing that inspires and motivates students. She consistently goes above and beyond to provide exceptional education, build trust, and show respect for students and colleagues alike. She takes the time to explain complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand and works closely with students to ensure they have a clear understanding of the material. By doing so, she is able to build trust and rapport with their students, which allows them to provide more effective guidance throughout their academic journey.
