Erik always knows how to add comedy or seriousness when needed. He comes in every day ready to conquer whatever is thrown at him. He always appears professional and carries himself with grace. The staff refer to him as “super nurse” because he always saves the day. When things are crashing, he jumps right in. He is a very effective communicator and always takes personality into account before responding. He communicates concerns promptly and respectfully. He is prompt and jumps right up to attend to patient needs or to help a co-worker. He is committed to privacy and protecting people’s information. He is always responsive and helps patients with toileting, moving, line removal, and fall prevention. He can read the room and smooth out situations before they escalate. He is very personable and can somehow connect with anyone. He is not one to “pass the buck.” He has a servant’s heart and never fails to show up to serve.

Erik has spent many years serving the community as a police officer, and now a nurse and we are so thankful for him.

Erik always does the right thing, even when no one is paying attention. He is mindful of his patient’s emotions and understands that they are worried about different things. He is willing to listen and help comfort them. If a patient is discharging and needs information, he goes the extra mile to provide the needed information to the patient.
