These nurses gave my husband amazing and compassionate care and grace during his journey of recovery in the ICU. They were kind and patient with him and me as I had many questions and concerns. Being from out of town was stressful and they were all very nice about answering to their best knowledge how E was doing and what lay ahead. They were patient with getting him up on more pillows and watching his blood pressure, sugar, and kidney output very carefully. Knowing this was their job, they certainly were sweet. Also, they were very kind to me, the wife, as I took up space in a very small room and asked if I was in their way. As he became stable and we were waiting for a regular room, Megan contacted the doctor and tried to begin his discharge with us being 2 hours away. She made great efforts to make sure we knew what to look for if things started trending the wrong way and was very kind again to our many questions. I feel very blessed to have been treated so well by each of them. Having doctors and nurses in my family, I fully understand how hard their job is, and we truly appreciate the efforts they made.
