I was admitted to the hospital with absolutely no forewarning. I was unprepared and very overwhelmed. I was here for 6 days. Long lonely days. Most of which I have been scared and unaware of what was going to happen next. Then along came Monica. My angel, my heaven-sent nurse.

She was so busy, but not so busy to show me that she cared about me, not as just a patient, but as a person. She allowed me to cry to her about missing my children. She didn’t make me feel ridiculous for being an emotional mess. Instead, she prayed with me. She could tell that I was scared and nervous about a procedure I had coming up.

Instead of just giving me my medication and leaving me upset, she talked me through it and once again, she prayed with me. I felt safe and at peace while in the care of Monica. She is an amazing nurse, and if I could have had her to myself throughout my stay here I most certainly would have. She is the definition of an amazing nurse and a true woman of God! I am blessed to have been put on Monica’s path!
