Our father was cared for in the CVICU for 6 days. The nursing staff was excellent, but Brandon just stood out with the very specific way they cared for our dad. He noticed small things like his need for moisturizer on his legs and kept Ensure and juice cold for him to entice him to take in calories when he was willing. Brandon was patient, respectful, and met Dad wherever he was emotionally on any given day (and that was sometimes challenging!). Brandon was patient and thorough with our family, explaining every test result in a way that was understandable without being patronizing. Most importantly, he acted as an advocate for Dad to make sure he was getting what he needed, all the while maintaining a friendly and compassionate professionalism. We feel incredibly grateful to have had Brandon caring for Dad at a time that was incredibly stressful for us all!
