Your ER crew saved my life, and I want to nominate Sarah for her swift action and compassion. My emergency was due to losing my airway due to severe emphysema after a tonsillectomy. There is nothing more motivating to me as an experienced RN than to see a great team that not only handles emergencies with aggressive action but also shows such compassion to a fearful patient. I have worked in many ERs myself but when you are the patient and you know you’re about to die, the only thing you hope for is action, empathy, and compassion. Your ER nurses did just that for me and I feel this event is worthy of affirming these nurses for saving my life in perfect form. They were truly my life-saving heroes that day, and I’m forever grateful.
