The atmosphere Kali created, especially when my husband was going to pass, was short of heaven.

My husband was a patient in the CCU unit in April. Kali was one of the many wonderful nurses he had. While each nurse was very good, we feel Kali stood out the most. If you didn’t believe in God and angels before, you did after our experience with Kali. Kali‘s caring and wonderful nature far exceeded anything we could have hoped for. Kali‘s compassion and understanding of the medical situation not only helps her in her profession but everyone around her.

You can tell Kali is where God wants her to be. Kali has a true calling in the CCU unit. Many times, my family and I were scared and didn’t always understand what was going on and why. Kali just had a wonderful way of explaining things to us. Kali gave us enough details that we understood what was happening and why. Then we could make our decisions based on her information of what was happening and what was to come in the days ahead. No one ever rushed us into any decisions.

Kali not only cared for my husband, but everyone in my family. The extra time she took for my husband was very comforting. She was very compassionate in everything she did. She was like one of our family members. She always gave us hugs when arriving at work, and before leaving work. She checked on each of us, making sure we didn’t need anything. If we did, she provided whatever we needed.

The atmosphere Kali created, especially when my husband was going to pass, was short of heaven. She created a very serene and peaceful environment. She knew what to say and when to say it. She knew when to just step back and wait to be called upon with a question, or just to hear us express our concerns; we could not have asked for anyone better. Kali always went above and beyond for my husband and our family. We feel Kali needs to be recognized for her tireless and devoted time she gives to each of her patients and families.

When my husband passed, she took time to get his fingerprints for each of us to hold onto. She also made a print of his heartbeat and put them in see through plastic containers for each of us. She didn’t have to do that, but she did. Kali has made an impression on each of us, that we will never forget. She helped us through a terrible time, and I don’t think we could have done this without her.
