At 37 weeks pregnant my husband and I got the worse news imaginable, "There is no heartbeat." Tiffany was the first nurse we saw once admitted. She came in with such empathy and compassion. She explained to us over and over what the next steps were going to be but never dismissed how hard these next hours were going to be, physically and emotionally. I was induced only hours before Tiffany was getting off but she kept reminding me of what was next and that she would be back the next day. The following day when labor had progressed, Tiffany and Robin stayed by my side throughout the delivery and continuously encouraged me. As hard as it was going through such a traumatic event, Tiffany and Robin brought peace into the room with them. They were there when I needed comforting and were my biggest cheerleaders to help me get through. Without such great nurses by our sides, the story of my son's delivery would be much different. With Tiffany and Robin by our sides, we also have good memories from our son's delivery, even though he never got to come home. I will forever remember these nurses, and they will carry a special place in my heart. They went above and beyond for my husband and me and we could never thank them enough.
