Ms. Zenaida Magnaye-Banzon has established herself as a thought leader in both Women's Health and Children Services and Ambulatory Care Department. She has always been an innovator and has had the ability to engage all levels of staff around various patient-centered initiatives that improve the quality of care and services we offer our patients. Examples include her leadership on our Baby Friendly Journey that led to our designation in 2014, and until today NYC H+H/ Queens maintained its designation. She also initiated various grants for the facility to improve reproductive health care, establishing co-located services for the maternal-child health dyad for postpartum services and championing Centering Group care for Women's care and Parenting for Pediatric Services, to name a few. Her ability to multi-task while giving each task and her team full attention to detail is remarkable and inspiring. She is a tremendous advocate for nursing and also a robust partner to the medical staff. In this way, she models interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork with the nurses in her department.
