It's not easy trying to decide and pick just one nurse so I have to nominate the ones that stand out to our family. All of the nurses worked very hard. My mom came in to have a procedure done. She was taken off the vent but little did we know her heart was going to go into v-fib requiring her to be shocked. The next day she coded once again being brought back but this time had to be put back on the vent where she remained for 12 days.

At this point, our family was very scared and worried. Some family couldn't handle the sight of our mom/wife on all the machines that’s when the nurses became so wonderful to us calling twice a day to give updates on her progress. Her daughter lives two hours away and her son lives three hours. Keith never stopped giving us those updates and when I would come to visit, answer all the questions I had. Not only were things scary but stressful especially for our dad; the nurses handled our family very well for what he was going through. They treated us just like family.

23 days in total they called the cardiac unit home until she was transferred to a rehab center to begin extensive therapy. Our family thanks each and every one for the loving care you gave to my mom while she was there and the love and support you have shown our entire family.
