My husband was admitted to the hospital unexpectedly due to a serious infection of the leg. Over the last nearly two weeks here, we have been taking careful notes on all the different medications for him and all the different systems being managed by those medications as we fought a terrible leg infection. It was so nice to meet Sarah Strunk. She took time to get to know us on a friendly basis, listened carefully to problems, and gave solutions.

I will forever be grateful to Sarah because as she sat at the nurses' station, she was thinking about T's difficult situation and notified the wound care people. It turns out that they were able to do some additional work on T's leg to greatly help and also refer him to a wound clinic for follow-up care. She seemed to care about little things that can cause a patient discomfort. For example, as Sarah was redressing the wound, T's hip was hurting as we were holding up his leg. Sarah suggested lowering the pillows so we didn't have to lift his leg so high. This brought instant relief to T and the leg dressing was able to continue in comfort; knowing that the staff cared enough to make it right while listening to the patient and giving that patient some control over a scary overall situation.

I greatly appreciate the extra thought she has given to T and the kind responsive care she has given. Thank you, Sarah! We enjoy talking to you and appreciate your thoughtful dedication to T and your job. You have brightened our days here while giving much-needed care!
