The urology waiting room was full, our wait was 12 minutes. Nurse Pam did an ultrasound, explained the critical reading of urine retention, took her time draining, and explained everything she did in detail. Very gentle, caring, and sensitive to my pain. The procedure took extensive time and patience. She explained the use of a catheter leg bag for later use and demonstrated proper use and disposal (emptying). Pam told of future expectations with a positive outlook and attitude. She further explained the importance of follow-up appointments and warning signs and told me to call with any concerns.

I returned to the ER due to excessive blood in my urine, according to Pam’s recommendation. Pam explained why it is so important to go to the ER due to any rapid health deterioration. She spoke confidently, reassured me I would improve, and asked for a follow-up update. Pam’s assuring words and genuine concerns were reassuring and put me at peace. Thank you!
