I felt like Morgan really understood my journey both medically and emotionally.
While all of the nursing and patient care staff have been amazing, Morgan is my favorite nurse and I have had the best experience with her.
As a patient with a complicated medical history battling leukemia and now having neurological issues, I felt like Morgan really understood my journey both medically and emotionally. She always took the time to make sure I understood my treatment and medications and asked if I had any questions. If there were any changes she would take the time to walk through them with me, even if those changes occurred before her shift started. And even though each nurse cares for multiple patients a shift and those patients change each day, Morgan took the effort to remember details about me—whether it was something we discussed related to my chemo treatments or my preference to mix Miralax with apple juice or my request to take my chemo pill 30 minutes after taking Zyrtec (rather than taking them together).
Morgan also helped me as I was figuring out whether to add a suppository or enemeez to my bowel regimen. I started with a suppository and was very nervous but Morgan walked me through the process and put me at ease with her confidence and reassurance. Last night when I decided to try an enemeez instead for the first time I was so relieved to discover that Morgan would be my nurse that night. I’m discharging tomorrow so I didn’t have much time to learn how to use an enemeez and with Morgan’s careful guidance, I was able to do it myself as I was taking it for the first time.
Morgan is a fantastic nurse and patients here are so lucky to be in her care! I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed being her patient and appreciate her.
