Josephine also creates and cements a great working team on nights.
Josephine is a beacon here @ MSJ. She is an excellent nurse and did great as the interim manager. For neuroscience and as a relief administrative nursing superuser (ANS). Her competency as a nurse shift manager is unquestionable. One day, not finding any EVS staff despite pages overhead, and the ANS was also unsuccessful at getting a hold of any, Josephine proceeded to clean the assigned but dirty room and prepared it to admit the patient. Preventing more wait time in the ED. She then rallied other folks to help clean another dirty room.
Again, so that the assigned could come up fast. Although not one specific incident stands out for Josephine, she has been with the organization since August of 2002 and excels in every way and area possible. During her stint as interim manager, she successfully brought the unit through joint commission reviews for stroke and spine without any low hanging fruit. As an ANS, Josephine also successfully helps decrease ED length of stays by being in staff to expand a unit or multiple units or pull staff in a way that expanding a unit does not create problems. Such is her dedication in getting things done without bad repercussions whatsoever.

Her leadership qualities are valued by her peers and co-staff in neuroscience which accounts for retention neuroscience is very well known for. Josephine is first and foremost an excellent and ideal nurse. This makes her purely effective in everything she does as a unit leader as well as a house supervisor. Josephine's exemplary service to staff and the organization as a whole makes her a true DAISY Nurse.
