He is an Extraordinary Nurse, and this is exactly the place I would want to be in if I ever needed critical care. He even attended her viewing, which made us all cry happy tears. We knew her last moments were with the most caring angel. He deserves this and more for his utmost excellence.
John was astronomically enlightening in the horrific last days of my daughter's life, he was there checking on my family's well-being, he was very informative on the procedures of steps taken with the declining health of my daughter, heartfelt gratitude for this Nurse, he constantly gave hugs to everyone in her room and we’ll never, ever forget him, he even came to my daughter's viewing in support of my family, never heard nor seen this happen before.

First, I want to sincerely say Thank You from all the friends and family of J. She was a beautiful young woman who unfortunately passed away in the ICU. I do work in the Emergency Department in Allentown as well, but I have never met John prior to this because I just started at this campus in June, 2022. He also did not know I worked here as a nurse, until right when she was pronounced, so I know for certain his special care wasn't just because I am a nurse. I don't even know where to begin. John is an extremely compassionate nurse who gave our loved one BEYOND excellent care! Our family and friends pretty much lived in the ICU waiting room, and he always allowed us to visit with her at all hours, family or not, because he knew, even though many of us were considered friends, we looked at ourselves as family and (knowing the situation she was in) and not once ever looked annoyed or frustrated as I know some nurses can be. He ALWAYS answered any questions we had and spoke to us in a way that made us feel at ease. He made us feel as though he truly cared for our J. He is an Extraordinary Nurse, and this is exactly the place I would want to be in if I ever needed critical care. He even attended her viewing, which made us all cry happy tears. We knew her last moments were with the most caring angel. He deserves this and more for his utmost excellence.

My 37-year-old daughter was on the unit for about four days. John, her nurse, went above and beyond for my daughter J, but not only for her, he made sure we were all taken care of and answered all the questions we had. He helped us by making us laugh and cry at a very difficult time. He even made it a point to stop in the family room and check on us and make a point to stop in for her viewing. So if this is not a nurse who deserves this award, I’m speechless.

John took as much care of my sister while she was in the ICU. She eventually passed, but John was always just right there for her through it all! Thank you, John.

From the first moment I met John, I knew he was special. The knowledge that he provided to my family and me was extremely useful in helping us understand what was going on. The amount of compassion he showed us was extremely helpful while my family was at their lowest. He took the time to check on us every day. Sometimes, he’d even show up to work early just to stop by and see how everyone involved was personally doing. It truly was amazing. But what was even more amazing was the fact of him showing up to my sister's viewing. It just truly showed he cared for us in that moment. The positive impact that he made on my family will live on with us forever. This is why John is a DAISY Nurse.

John's level of professionalism and compassion was like no other. He is a truly gifted person and is not only amazing with patients but also with family and friends. St. Luke's is extremely lucky to have him on their Team.

John has a special way of making everyone feel like family. He is extremely compassionate, friendly, trustworthy, and professional. He was so kind and knew how to put a smile on our faces even through such a tragic moment of losing a friend. St. Luke's is very lucky to have such an amazing nurse on their staff.

I can't even begin to describe the compassion and overwhelming support this nurse gave my family and me when we were in the ICU broken over our loved one! He was absolutely amazing! His caring, loving, supportive demeanor was absolutely remarkable!! This was the hardest thing anyone could go through, but he made the situation just a little bit easier with how caring he was! He is one of the most incredible nurses you have at this hospital, and I can’t emphasize this more! John is an amazing human as he is a nurse, and we need more compassionate, loving nurses like him in this world! He is truly truly an angel sent from god! In all the years that I have been in and out of hospitals, he has left my family and me in awe with his beautiful soul! Thank you for being the amazing individual you are, for being so transparent, and for being just as supportive as a family member would need to get through a difficult time like this! You deserve all the blessings god has in store for you! Thank you for caring for our beautiful J!! She would have absolutely loved you!! Thank you again! God bless you!
