My 15-year-old son sustained a football injury during spring practice. His injury would require surgery and we were finally able to get into a room at 11:30 that night. My son had not had any food since lunch that day. Knowing he is a growing boy, she went to find him some food so that he would have something since he would not be able to eat after midnight due to his surgery the next day. She provided him a meal and dessert, which made his night despite the circumstances. The next day he did not eat for almost 24 hours due to his surgery time, and when he got out of recovery and returned to the room. Again, we had Jenny, who found him a meal. Food= happiness for my son. Not only did she do that for him, but she was also patient and kind with his care, as he was emotionally heartbroken at getting the news that he wouldn’t be able to play this upcoming season due to his recovery. She also made sure that I was cared for by having pillows and blankets as well as towels and washcloths to shower with during our stay. Jenny was always one of the best nurses we had in helping our son.
