So during the early hours today when I woke up from my sleep the first thing that came out of Gabriel's lips was, "This is for you," and he tapped several times a huge Marshall store bag.
During the early hours of last Sunday, and thanks to God, I got released from prison from doing and serving a five-year sentence imposed by the courts. Upon my arrival at Miami-Dade County, I've been dealing with and facing the struggles of being completely homeless and not by choice. Then I got admitted to another hospital in Miami and after several studies and tests and labs, I was diagnosed with stomach lymphoma cancer. Days went by and I got discharged. I was admitted to Mount Sinai Hospital while being medically treated for Cellulitis on my left leg and also conducting several tests labs and studies of my current stomach lymphoma cancer condition, and by the grace of God I met this young man and my nurse in a daily basis ever since; Mr. Gabriel Pena.
Be advised that yesterday I called this young excellent and very professional nurse so I could open myself with him a little wider and explained to him that normally upon my discharge from the hospital, I was still going to face the daily struggles of homelessness but also that I did not have any clothing at all to wear for when the day arrives I could leave the premises of the property of this hospital. His humble response was, "Don't worry, let me see what I can do for you. I will see you tomorrow."
So during the early hours today when I woke up from my sleep the first thing that came out of his lips was, "This is for you," and he tapped several times a huge Marshall store bag. When he left the room anxiously I went to see the context of such a plastic shopping bag and to my surprise and by the glory mercy and everlasting love, everything in that bag was completely new; it had multiple different colors of clothing in it. I know that this kind, young nurse spent at least a whole bunch of money from his own pocket only to help me and bless me. Have in your minds and hearts that as a coworker you all have a godsend Angel who loves helping people and serving them as well.
