She put alarms on her phone so that she made sure to come in and help me/teach me/guide me and encourage me with breastfeeding.
When you are having your first baby (and before the estimated due date), you don’t really understand what’s going on, what to expect, and what to ask. This is why Sam was more than phenomenal. She took time out of her busy day to teach me the basic skills of taking care of my newborn baby. She put alarms on her phone so that she made sure to come in and help me/teach me/guide me and encourage me with breastfeeding. I am now going home more confident that I will be able to feed my baby. Sam and other phenomenal nurses like herself, were the best aspect of my stay in the hospital, and I would choose Memorial Hermann 1 million times more if it meant I would be cared for by them.
