This letter was sent by an EC Nurse to the EC Coworkers and the EC Leadership (after a pediatric loss in the EC): In 22 years of working in various Emergency Rooms, I have seen a lot of things, but this one day, in particular, I witnessed something that I don't see often. I witnessed a group of people come together as a team in one of the worst situations. A team that I am proud to be a part of. All the years of experience and knowledge in that situation could not have changed the outcome. But we did everything right for that child, and I'm sure if the circumstances beforehand were different, the outcome wouldn't be as sad. Any code is always stressful, and there is always some fumbling and confusion, but that day, our team "SHINED." An experience like that is difficult for anyone, and after that, we returned to the everyday work that we do in EC. "Thank you for reminding me Why I Do This" - "You Are All Heroes To Me"
