I saw your kindness in the care and concern you recently showed to a patient who had been here for a few weeks and ultimately had to have a portion of his leg amputated. The day of surgery also happens to be his birthday. Thank you for comforting him as he cried, thank you for the teddy bear you brought him, and for the arrangements you made to have him get birthday cake once he was no longer NPO. It didn’t all work out the way we wanted it to, but your kindness and how you got everyone involved speaks highly of your character and commitment to outstanding patient care.
