She is compassionate in the work she does, and she motivates staff with a shared vision to achieve better outcomes.
Jamie is our House Supervisor during the night shift. Working with her during the night shift and being charge nurse on one of the inpatient units, Jamie is constantly showing mutual respect for the team and for those situations going on throughout the entire hospital. She is compassionate in the work she does, and she motivates staff with a shared vision to achieve better outcomes. She often discusses with the charge nurses, patients who are being admitted to the inpatient unit and to be sure that it is safe at the time of admission meaning staffing, acuity on the floor, etc.

I can give two specific examples of when Jamie went above and beyond to help our floor. The 1st example was a night when one of our staff members did not show up so we were short a body. Jamie was quick to come to the floor to help us answer call lights, answer phone calls, and help our patients with any needs that they needed at the time. This kind of help was so important to ensure that our patients were taken care of seeing as we were short a staff member. The unit was able to flow, the nurses were able to get their work done, and the aids had an extra hand to help if needed.

The 2nd example is from a night when we had two back-to-back rapid response teams. Jamie came to the bedside to help lead the rapid response, and because the unit was busy and two were happening at pretty close times, Jamie was quick to help us transport the patient that was getting sent to ICU because she knew the floor was very busy. This really helped keep our patients safe.

She is always extremely helpful. Jamie always truly cares and connects with the staff. We have gained a trusting relationship in a short time, and she is so compassionate and caring even about something I recently shared with her in my personal life, and for that, I thank her. Jamie is truly the role model for a House Supervisor, and it is truly a pleasure to work with her!
