I was admitted for induction of labor, and Maureen cared for me for two days over a long induction. Maureen is the nurse every patient hopes to have. She is experienced, funny, kind, and smart! She is the perfect balance of thoughtful and relaxed mixed with positive energy when something needs to happen quickly. For example, after the doctor broke my water, she started my IV fluids and called anesthesia for my epidural, knowing the contractions would intensify quickly. In addition to anticipating my needs, she focused on helping me feel like a person. She made a point to let me get up and walk, and even shower. Those little acts are time-consuming ones for a nurse, disconnecting and reconnecting monitors, but they made a world of difference to me. Thanks for spending the time with me, sharing stories, laughs, and anticipating everything I needed!
