I would like to thank this nurse and share my story of why this nurse is so special. The first time she cared for my mother, she was on the verge of dying. This nurse talked to her, cared for her, and let her know what was going on around her. The second time (which was about a week later), my mother was feeling much better and began to talk again. This nurse asked my mother if she remembered her. My mother was not able to recall her. This nurse reintroduced herself to my mother again, and my mom smiled.

Finally, days before my mother’s death, this nurse noticed she was back in the ICU and was very concerned. This nurse wasn’t my mom's nurse but she visited and cared for her before saying goodbye. To me, this means so much! My mom was more than just a patient to this nurse. She truly cared for my mom as well as my mom’s family. She made an impact with her extraordinary, caring self. Thank you.
