Working in neuro oncology is hard; it is emotionally tolling at times, but Rachael has always made it look easy. Rachael is often times taken for granted because of her advanced skills and knowledge. She just throws herself in wholeheartedly. Patient care comes so naturally to her. I genuinely just think she's a great human, in the perfect career, like it was meant for her, or her destiny. From the time that she opens the door with smiles, to reviewing Plan of Care's with patients that are crying, Rachael instinctually knows exactly what they need to hear.

Rachael is empathetic and sympathetic. Somehow, even when dealing with heavy emotions, or a long workday, she can always find a reason to laugh. Rachael is relatable and so personable with the patients. She brings the best out of those surrounding her. She gets to know the family members of patients and remembers the little things that mean the most. She is not a morning person, but always makes the time to help me, or answer questions - even if it's before she's had a cup of coffee. Her attitude seems contagious; it is impossible to be in a bad mood around Rachael. In neuro onc there are so many schedules to maintain, and she does it effortlessly. She is so diligent to make sure every patient has everything they need in order to succeed. Quite frankly the office, nor department, would function without her.

Rachael has inspired me and amazed me a countless amount of times, just in the few months I've had the pleasure of knowing her. She encourages when needed, but listens when you just feel like ranting. Rachael is the core function of the practice. To her, our team and the patients owe many thanks.
