I had an incredible nursing team to help me through this, who are all angels on earth. They helped me during every step of my recovery in the hospital. They brought uplifting joy and their high level of professionalism to my bedside every day. I felt like a human that mattered to them. But Trey was especially loving, caring, patient, comforting and kind to me.

I had a fever spike on Saturday evening. Once everyone left and things settled down, I started to cry. I was so embarrassed when Trey came in to check on me. I tried to hide my face from him. Instead of dismissing my feelings, he held my hand and let me weep and comforted me until I felt better. I will never ever forget that incredible act of kindness that he showed me late that night. He was a light during my darkest moment. I feel blessed to have crossed paths with this incredible human being.
