Working alongside Elizabeth for many years I have always admired her work ethic.  She is so knowledgeable about orthopedics and surgical nursing. She is a great mentor to new staff.  She always puts 100% effort into everything she does.  She shares her knowledge freely with others so that our team becomes stronger. She makes sure that the orthopedic program runs smoothly ensuring instruments are available, positioning equipment is in working order, and surgeons' preference cards are accurate and to date. 

It is behind-the-scenes work that others may not notice.  I notice the hard work and effort she puts in.  Our orthopedic program thrives because of Elizabeth's hard work. Elizabeth takes the time to mentor new staff and makes sure that they are not only proficient when she is done but they feel confident in their abilities. She is strong in her convictions and encourages others to be the same, which creates strong patient advocates. Elizabeth helps to make our department a great place to work by ensuring our patients get excellent care.  She researches best practices and makes sure that our hospital is current in ours. Our patients have better care because of Elizabeth's attention to detail. Elizabeth's love of orthopedics and compassion make her an amazing nurse.
