I have always looked up to her and strived to take care of my patients as she does. The love for her patients and the nursing profession shines through each and every day.
My father was in the outpatient surgical department for an elective procedure. Letha goes above and beyond to take great care of her patients. She is committed to her job and strives for excellence at HVCH. As his daughter, employed at HVCH, my mom told me Letha was taking care of him, I knew I could trust her in his care. She is so caring and very empathetic with the care she gives to each and every individual she provides care for. She has taken care of my dad on several occasions.
My dad now has Parkinson’s Disease and she showed compassion and empathy towards him. Reassuring him that he was going to be OK and she would take good care of him. It takes my dad more time to get up and ambulate to the bathroom. She did not rush him or hesitate to assist him with that and always acted as if he was her only concern. She assisted him to get dressed and took some stressors away from my mom as the primary caregiver. My dad has always used HVCH as his provider of choice. It is so wonderful that we have compassionate and caring nurses who serve HVCH.
My dad has served for HVCH on the Board and has placed his trust in the care of the providers that are available close to home. Letha treats her patients and family with dignity and respect. She has a sense of ownership to HVCH as she has worked here for several years. I have always looked up to her and strived to take care of my patients as she does. The love for her patients and the nursing profession shines through each and every day.
Thank you for everything you do for the patients and people of HVCH. Your colleagues look up to you as you display a professional and positive attitude toward everyone you come in contact with. My dad is so thankful for the care you have given him over the years.
