I left, knowing that my mom was in the best of hands, Sarah's hands.
Sarah was my mother's nurse last night in the ER, when she was brought in from the nursing home after a traumatic fall. Sarah made sure we were in a room close to the nurse's station (my mom has a history of dementia) and did a wonderful job of getting mom checked in, and then getting her to radiology, and then having lab and an EKG done. Sarah kept me and my daughter informed about the test results and that there was a possibility of the need to transfer my mom for neurology due to the non-displaced temporal bone fracture that showed up on her head CT. She was very supportive throughout mom's stay, and when it was decided that mom needed to stay another 6 hours to be observed, and then repeat another CT, she encouraged me to go home and rest, and she would call me for anything. She helped me walk Mom to the bathroom and then back to the cot and then helped make her comfortable so she wasn't in pain. She did call me after I went home and kept me updated on her condition. I left, knowing that my mom was in the best of hands, Sarah's hands. I so very much appreciate the warmth and the sincerity of your care. Thank you for all that you do, not just for my mom but for everyone.
