My husband was in HSHS Breese for pneumonia with sepsis. He was cared for by competent staff RNs, NPs, and CNAs. The staff that stands out is Colleen, RN. She was very respectful to my husband and me, anticipating his needs, providing privacy, announcing herself when entering the room, taking the time to sit down and explain procedures, offering compassion, along with laughter to make the stay go quickly and as painless as possible. All the staff during his stay was wonderful, however, Colleen stood out and was a joy to see every time she came into the room. She exuded the 4 Core Values of Respect, Care, Competence, and Joy and exceeded expectations. I truly hope supervisors realize Colleen is an excellent RN at HSHS in Breese, IL.
