During my most recent shift at Providence ED, I had the pleasure of working with Alyssa. We had a very challenging case together, an 8-year-old with a severed Achilles tendon.

From the start, she was caring and attentive to both the patient and his parents. She was very efficient and proactive in giving medications. She worked well with other nurses to establish an IV and constantly kept me informed of the patient’s status and any concerns expressed by his parents.

When it was time to suture and splint the patient, she was extremely helpful in assisting me while at the same time interacting with the patient in a calming way that made the procedures go smoothly. I know she had other patients during this time as well, yet all of them seemed to receive what they needed without delay.

I found her to be compassionate, levelheaded, and highly professional during a challenging time for the whole department. She is, without a doubt, an asset to the facility and team.
