Jordan did her best to normalize the situation and provided much-needed confidence to my husband and I.

Jordan was our shining star during our stay in the NICU when our son surprised us and was born at 24 weeks on the day. We first met Jordan on day 3 of our 4-month NICU stay and right away we just “clicked.” She was extremely knowledgeable and positive as there were obvious concerns with our son being born 24 weeks. Jordan did her best to normalize the situation and provided much-needed confidence to my husband and I. It's heartbreaking to see the love of your life requiring extreme medical attention but we immediately felt at ease knowing he would be in excellent care whenever Jordan was working. Let's be honest, no one is ever thrilled to have their newborn in the NICU for 4 months, but despite the circumstances, our stay at Wesley was amazing thanks to Jordan!

Jordan is kind, encouraging, skilled, supportive, attentive, and most of all patient. We watched her exhibit all of these traits, not only with us but with multiple other patients and families. She also took care of us as first-time parents and celebrated milestones with us. On our 1-year wedding anniversary, she made a gift to give to us from our baby and we still hold that gift dear to our hearts. She never blinked an eye helping me with skin-to-skin despite the time and attention it took for her to manage all the lines and leads. I never felt that I was an inconvenience, and she was always excited to do it! Despite a NICU stay we never wanted, Jordan was the exact NICU nurse I never knew that my baby and I needed. She helped to make our little family's experience everything we could have hoped for when in that situation.

It takes a special person to be a nurse and an even more special person to work with small humans. We consider our family blessed to have been under her care for so many months. We're so thankful to have a lifelong friend and so thankful our paths have crossed.
