He said, "I didn't know there were still angels out there until I met Uzunma."
A few weeks ago, a family member asked to speak with the Charge Nurse. Upon meeting with them, this particular family member was next to tears as he described how elated he was with the care his mother had been receiving from the nurse. He said that he had called the floor that day prior to visiting and had spoken to the nurse about his mother's progress but was even more pleased having witnessed first-hand the level of care given.
He said the nurse was so kind, friendly, patient, and compassionate in providing care to his mother and he described how receptive his mother was to the nurse's care. He recounted how the nurse went above and beyond to ensure his mother was comfortable and demonstrated extraordinary acts of kindness in ensuring his mother's needs were met. He said, "I didn't know there were still angels out there until I met Uzunma." He described his mother as having a touch of forgetfulness and said that she kept saying repeatedly "so kind, so kind", something she had never said before since her hospitalization, especially since she was a woman of very few words. He described Uzunma as being very professional in delivering top-quality nursing care, none like he had experienced during previous hospital visits.
