First, I want to say all the staff in labor and delivery were phenomenal, but Quierra grabbed a special place in our hearts. She was exceptionally compassionate, caring, and loving during the birth of my granddaughter. She was my daughter's primary nurse on the day she was admitted and took great care of her. The next day, my daughter still had not delivered. Quierra, unfortunately, was not assigned to her this day, but came in several times to check on her. She promised my daughter she'd be back to help her push, and she held true to the promise.

When my daughter finally had to have a c-section, Quierra was with her every step of the way. She walked us to the OR and made sure I was comfortable as I waited to be able to go in the OR. Once my granddaughter was born, she had to go straight to NICU without my daughter being able to hold her. Quierra came in PACU to check on my daughter and before she mentioned anything about the baby to my daughter, she made sure we knew all that was going on with the baby. I do believe if she wouldn’t have been off for the next several days, she would have checked on my daughter everyday she was there.

The world needs more nurses like Quierra and I cannot thank her enough for showing what true nursing is all about. It comes from the heart and you have to be passionate about it and she truly is.
