Sam is a caring nurse who goes above and beyond for her patients and for her fellow staff members. She not only provides exceptional care for her patients, but she makes sure she listens to the things they have to say. She takes the time to make people feel human again, not just another body in a bed. She does not hesitate to offer help to others or provide support to anyone in need. She deserves this award as a reminder of the Extraordinary Nurse she is and will continue to become.

Sam was the most congenial, friendly, and caring nurse I have ever experienced at any hospital, taking the time to understandably and knowledgeably answer any questions as well as fully explain the service being performed and, most importantly, creating a more relaxed and calmer environment for both patients and visitors!

Sam was always cheerful, pleasant, and engaged in conversation. This made me feel at ease; she took great care of me and my medical needs. The nurses at St. Margaret are truly dedicated and do a fantastic job.

Sam is so upbeat and compassionate. She takes the time to listen. I know you think that is her job, however, you can tell when a nurse is sincere. I felt she went above and beyond as a nurse.  It was evident with her positive attitude and her smile (which I could see behind her mask).

When I was told, I had stage 4 cancer. I lost it! Sam came into my room and hugged me, again you may feel that is her job, but with Covid, the flu, and every other adversity, she still showed up! Thank you, Samantha, for everything you did for me and everything you will do for others!
