Avery has demonstrated on multiple occasions an innate ability to establish phenomenal patient rapport. Her skill, kindness, knowledge, and sincere appreciation for each patient as an individual are inherent in each interaction that I have observed and foster an environment of transparent communication that builds trust. There are multiple significant circumstances in which I have seen Avery positively impact a patient’s life. She supported a patient in developing an incredibly complex end-of-life care plan in which the patient could be discharged home with comfort care in place. Avery was pivotal in the coordination and realization of this plan. She has supported patients in very challenging circumstances in pursuit of further psychiatric treatment and has clearly been part of the hope present in their eyes.
