We never imagined we could have a pleasant hospital experience as a patient dealing with A-Fib, but Kaylee provided that for us.
There are times when a seemingly simple act becomes a very important component of your day. Kaylee provided us with compassion, kindness, concern, and mercy while we were in the ER. My husband had been doing his best to endure a long hard episode of A-Fib with a heart rate in the 120-125 range most of the day. His rate had been erratic all day. Because of past times in the ER, he did not want to go fearing he would spend several hours there and as before, he would be admitted to the hospital.

In fact, it is his habit to keep a "Hospital Bag" prepared so we can grab and go. Most times the care in the ER, even for a cardiac patient took hours before he would be admitted, understandably due to the long procedure of getting meds by IV and waiting for test results. Frustration due to lack of communication usually added to the problem along with trying to bring his heart rate down. We never imagined we could have a pleasant hospital experience as a patient dealing with A-Fib, but Kaylee provided that for us. She began by informing us of a possible timeline and an explanation of the probable treatment. Although we were quite familiar, she noticed our anxiety with the cardiac situation and wanted us to feel assured about his care and the time it would take for bloodwork and other necessary tests.

We could tell she was very busy on the floor, but she would stop by each time she passed our room to explain something or check on us to make sure we didn't need anything. Because of her care above measure, we were released the same night! We appreciated all that Kaylee did for us and we know she was destined to be a nurse. Thank you, Kaylee!
