Mrs. Debbie was assigned to me on delivery day. I had been inpatient for 10 days trying to make it to 34 weeks due to severe preeclampsia. When Mrs. Debbie came in that morning, an instant feeling of comfort came over me. She was so attentive and helpful during the entire day. I wasn't making much progress, so she got the peanut ball. She laughed and said, “I know it's goofy, but I swear by this!” Well, sure enough, I quickly progressed just by using and rotating with this ball. She was extremely diligent in keeping my doctor updated on my progress. I was determined to have the baby on her shift with me! When it came time to labor, she became my biggest cheerleader by helping coach me through breathing and pushing. I had no idea what to expect as I was delivering at 34 weeks, but Mrs. Debbie brought such a positive and soothing vibe that I was beyond relaxed. This helped me push and deliver in 5 minutes, by far the quickest and least stressful delivery. She genuinely was so happy and excited for my husband and I. She is an absolute Angel, and I'm so grateful to have her on one of the most important days of my life! This was my second delivery at STHS and by far the best experience because of her and the other wonderful nurses I had during my time here!
