I was checked into my room after a trip to the ER on the Friday before Labor Day weekend. My blood pressure was inexplicably high, and there were many questions about the cause. Because I was checked in just prior to the long holiday weekend, staffing levels were low, and apparently, some services were provided only on a 'stat' basis. There were a number of diagnostic tests that had to be performed with many details, such as a brain MRI, and an echocardiogram. Scott made it a point to follow up on each detail and test to make sure it was done as soon as possible. As a result, the doctors had the best information available. It was obvious to me that he took ownership of the situation and made sure I got the best care possible under the circumstances. As another example of his commitment, I keep a kosher diet and he went out of his way to talk to the cafeteria to find out what food options were available for me.

Considering it was late Friday afternoon prior to the long weekend, and people were trying to be done for the week, I was especially appreciative of his concern for the human aspect of my stay at the hospital. He is a dedicated team member deserving of recognition, in my opinion.
