I have spent a good deal of time in healthcare facilities in the past seven years. I am very grateful to all of the people who dedicate their lives to caring for those of us who need their help. I was admitted to the hospital ER, where I received immediate attention and care. About two hours later, I was admitted to a room. Everyone I had contact with was very kind and helpful. I was beginning to feel better in just a few short hours. Then it happened. This nurse walks in and introduces herself in an unforgettable manner. "Hi, I’m Emily!" Not unusual but unforgettable. She started a conversation, and within a few hours, I began to feel that one of my family members was caring for me. The feeling of peace was overwhelming. Emily’s attitude and level of care were way above normal. By the end of her shift, I felt like I had found another daughter. “The love of a family is life’s greatest blessing.” This is what I felt that night. I am truly blessed to be cared for by this nurse.
