A patient who was only 39 years old went into cardiac arrest. Morgan Bell RN is a brand new nurse and provided the best care possible to this patient. Morgan was not the primary nurse but was a secondary nurse located in the same POD. Morgan took the initiative to come help the primary nurse in the code blue by administering medications. Unfortunately, the patient did expire. However, Morgan went above and beyond for the family by assembling a small glass bottle with a cork and put the patient's last rhythm strip inside the glass bottle for the family. I thought this was such an amazing idea and thought this was the nicest thing I have ever seen a nurse do for a family member. I know that small item will mean so much to the family knowing we provided the best care possible and did all we could for their family member. I am so very proud to be the preceptor of this nurse. Morgan is an amazing nurse and Bon Secours is very lucky to have her work for the organization.
