I had a patient who had elevated glucose levels. They were not checking their blood sugars. I prescribed freestyle libre for the patient, but the patient was apprehensive. Victoria sat down with the patient and helped them to download the app and then assisted them with applying the device to their arm and went through exactly how it works with them in detail. Because of that, the patient was less nervous about using the device, and in turn, due to that awareness, their blood sugar improved. It is because she took that time with them that the patient agreed to use the device and has learned about their sugars and changed their diet. She always takes the time to help patients and goes out of her way to go above and beyond. Another example is when a patient was short of breath, and she called me to the room. After the fact, the patient made a comment about the condition he was in that day and how Victoria made him feel more calm and didn’t let on that she knew that he was not in good shape. She helps to calm patients' fears all the time. She is amazing!!!
