Nurses are often referred to as the heart of healthcare. This is because they pour all the kindness, compassion, and empathy possible into the care of patients. This nurse was nominated by two families for exemplary care.

A family member said, “She listened to me and was an empathetic ear and compassionate hand when my dad had a heart attack.” This family member went on to say when the patient was transferred to another unit, this nurse came by to see how he was doing every day. Her compassion, optimism, and kindness did not go unnoticed.

Another family member wrote about her husband recovering from open heart surgery. “She made us feel like family. She answered all our questions and went out of her way for anything we asked of her. If all nurses were like her, the world would be a much better place. She was amazing, and we thank her from the bottom of our hearts.”
